As a Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer, you’ll work with the team to deliver high quality tenancy sustainment and support to people who are vulnerable and/or have complex needs, living in their accommodation in the Cheshire East borough.

This role is hybrid with the expectation of working predominantly in the Cheshire East area and at our Head Office in Stoke one day a week.

Job requirements

  • Work with customers to complete an induction, risk assessment and create a support plan to work through their individual needs.
  • Develop and review personalised support plans for customers that are person centred. These should include their personal health and wellbeing, debt management, benefit entitlement and move on housing options.
  • Empower customers to maintain their independence and understand what it means to manage their own home.
  • Make sure that all properties are well maintained, and health and safety checks are completed.
  • Support customers to develop positive relationships with their support network and other services.
  • Make sure that all administration is completed in a timely manner including support plans, forms, and databases.
  • Support customers to ‘move on’ into their own general needs tenancy.
  • Work with the local community to fundraise and raise Concrete’s profile in the local community.

What we’re looking for

  • Educated to a GCSE level.
  • 1-2 years’ experience of working in a similar sector or transferable skills.
  • Experience of working with customers with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of what great customer service is.
  • Ability to fulfil contractual commitments for commissioned services.
  • Experience of supporting financial processes including expenses and invoice processing.
  • Experience of completing forms and applications for benefits and grants.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and demands.
  • A motivational approach to supporting customers.
