We are looking for an experienced animal technician to join our friendly, hardworking team actively involved in the daily care and maintenance of animals, as well as supporting the provision of specialised transgenic and surgical services within our biofacility situated in South Cambridge.
The role holder will provide daily hands on animal care including daily observations and husbandry, liaison with researchers and providing technical assistance with both regulated and non-regulated experimental protocols.
The role holder will also provide specialist transgenic and surgical assistance, including performing transgenic procedures, assisting with surgical techniques and ensuring adherence to asepsis. There is room for development within the role and progression beyond.
You will have previous experience working in a laboratory setting with animals, additional experience conducting regulated and non-regulated procedures, and surgery will also be an advantage. You should be positive, reliable, flexible and able to communicate effectively with team colleagues and research staff.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment and a security check.
