Provide quality inspectors direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished on time. Supervise the quality functions (establishes, oversees, and coordinates quality policy and practice) of the organization. Perform independent reviews and assessments of area performance, including lessons learned, industry best practices, and technology. Identifies and addresses areas for improvement within the quality department.
Primary Responsibilities :
Supervise a team of quality and first article Inspectors as well as certification tech staff. Collaborate cross-functional to proactively establish and maintain regulatory, customer and company requirements. Ensure direct report adherence to plant policies and procedures. Time keeping of direct reports. Maintain training records for direct reports and area training matrix Continually improving the quality department Prioritization of inspections Participation in daily MRB meeting and quality clinic Ensure acceptable velocity through the receipt routing (receipt of goods) process Continual audit preparedness of area of supervision and direct reports Review, create, update control documents related to area of supervision Collaborate with other departments Assist with nonconformances, corrective actions and customer complaints. Returns process facilitation & management at the Regional Distribution Center Metrics & KPI reporting Customer Escape investigations and Corrective Actions Local QMS supportBasic Qualifications:
A few years of supervisory experience Strong organizational, verbal/written communication and time management skills A good team playerPreferred Qualifications:
