Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

The Senior Supervisor Manufacturing Operations plays a key role in our operations team managing a medium-sized team of primarily team leads and production/manufacturing staff in a busy aerospace interiors manufacturing business.
In this role, the Senior Supervisor is responsible for overall performance of a small batch high-mix manufacturing capability responsible for the manufacture of a wide range of aircraft interior parts via our CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, paint, and assembly cells. Day-to-day management will focus on achieving operations performance targets for safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost while ensuring talent development and improving the employee workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management).
- Manage and supervise the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
- Perform professional or management work regularly across multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Drive positive employee workplace experience.
- Ensure all quality-related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
- Monitor manufacturing production performance to business KPIs for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and cost.
- Support scheduling initiatives so that production schedules are completed in line with customer demand.
- Support warehouse and distribution management in coordinating activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure materials availability is in line with production schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety, Ethics, Compliance, and Quality protocols.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant Operations experience is required.
- Prior Supervisory experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment - Essential.
- Strong people leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative thinking to problems.
