Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a medium-sized team of production staff and team leads in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee production operations, including shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management.
- Manage and supervise the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
- Perform professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
- Drive positive employee workplace experience and ensure all quality-related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
- Monitor manufacturing production performance to business KPIs for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and cost.
- Drive a Continuous Improvement culture across the operations workforce, focusing on process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations meets company targets.
- Support scheduling initiatives to ensure production schedules are completed in line with customer demand.
- Support warehouse and distribution management in coordinating activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure materials availability is in line with production schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety, Ethics, Compliance, and Quality protocols.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in operations management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative thinking to problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
