The purpose of the team is to manage and develop digital first, customer centric journeys across the Everyday Banking (EDB) product set (Current Accounts, Debit Cards, Overdrafts, Savings, FX) to achieve great customer outcomes whilst maximising commercial opportunities and minimising risk for the bank. This in turn drives achievement of the EDB customer growth and financial plan and protects the business by adhering to regulatory and reputational responsibilities.

The purpose of this role is to manage the commercial performance and competitive pricing across all the EDB product lines, including ownership of the Financial Resource Plan (FRP), driving forecasting adjustments in year and identifying performance risks and opportunities to support delivery of FRP.

In this role you will:

Supporting Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to maintain, develop and improve products and customer journeys within HSBC, First Direct and M&S Bank across the EDB product set & Support with the pricing of the EDB product suite, continually seeking opportunities to optimise price-points to maximise benefit to both the customer and Bank. Support regular commercial performance updates to present concise and informative updates into Senior forums ( ManCo, ExCo and CEO updates), adapting to multiple stakeholder audiences. Assist on regular consumer trend forecasting activity (balance flows, Debit Card spending, Overdraft utilisation) utilising internal and external data to deliver outputs of high precision & Constantly scrutinise the department’s income generation lines to assess for opportunities for enhancement  Analysis of the external market to identify commercial opportunities, opportunities to enhance forecasting capabilities and develop pricing proposals. Lead key stakeholder relationships across Finance, Asset Liability & Capital Management (ALCM) and Risk, and coach/educate the wider product team on commercial understanding and performance. Preparing product analysis, insight, MI and research for consideration to support the promotion and communication of the performance of products to the wider organisation. Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Knowledge of the following products and/or services is key to role - Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Currency Accounts, Overdrafts and Debit Cards. Highly numerate and analytical – able to analyse data effectively for planning, forecasting, and reporting with Proven ability to use large, complex datasets and translate into digestible, easy to read Exec level commentary to inform business decisions. A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications also Industry awareness of related industry trends, the UK market and accessible data-points. Strong customer and commercial focus with ability to balance risks vs. rewards whilst maximising cost effectiveness. Demonstration of leadership capability with experience of people management.
