Ideally candidates will have up to 2 years relevant Ophthalmic experience in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment however, if you don’t have this don’t worry, we will provide a month training programme to support you in this role and progress you to a Band 6 Practitioner. As your role develops you will be an autonomous Practitioner, reviewing patients and making diagnostic decisions, working within a multi-disciplinary team, with full support from our Consultants and Senior Practitioner team. You will also have responsibility for co-ordinating the day shift including supervision of Ophthalmic Technicians.

Working Pattern: hours per week. Monday to Friday, 4 days, 8 till :.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 3/ | NHS Employers).
