We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre (IRC).
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Gatwick IRC is a detention centre based on the grounds of Gatwick Airport. Hours: This is a full time role, with healthcare being offered 24/7 to patients. Shifts are 07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30. The role involves working nights and weekends on a rota basis. Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary of £30,684 per annum. How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course

Main duties of the job
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
Support the full patient journey, from entry to discharge Support the nursing and pharmacy teams within primary care health centres, as well as aon wings and blocks Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinicsIf you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
