About the role

We are recruiting for a  Programme Manager  to working within our  Cyber Operations function. 

Cyber Operations purpose is to support safe care and build public trust by building NHS England’s cyber resilience and enabling the wider health system to be cyber resilient, supporting Transformation Directorate’s purpose of delivering the best care and outcomes for the NHS.

The Cyber Operations sub-directorate consists of 4 operational areas:

Cyber Security Operations Unit (CSOU). Cyber Delivery Unit (CDU). Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP). Chief Information Security Office Function (CISO).

The Cyber Improvement Programme aims to deliver cyber improvements that provide long-term foundational change towards sustainable cyber risk management across the health and social care system, working towards the vision of creating a health and care sector that is resilient to cyber-attack, improving the safety of patients and service users through good cyber security.

About the role

You will be providing stakeholder engagement expertise to support and input in to complex programmes. You will be building strong relationships with internal and external partners which are critical in securing the strategic objectives of the business. You will be communicating complex concepts and topics clearly, adapting the approach for different audiences and avoiding jargon. You will be developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive communication and engagement strategies for large-scale, system-wide pieces of work You will be providing reporting on stakeholder engagement back to senior leaders within the programme and to Board members

About you

Some of the skills and experience we're looking for: Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to engage successfully with a wide range of people at all levels within an organisation. Demonstrates ability to build relationships with internal and external partners which are critical in securing the strategic objectives of the business. Demonstrates ability to draw complex qualitative and quantitative information from a range of sources and present it in a clear and concise way, creating and tailoring messages to be consumed across a range of diverse stakeholders. Demonstrates within a business operations environment the ability to provide complex, sensitive and contentious information where there may be significant challenge. Can evidence ability to develop a communications and engagement strategy based on business objectives. Please note , as this role is working within Cyber Operations, there is an additional vetting requirement.

All NHS England Cyber Security personnel must hold security clearance SC level as a minimum. To meet National Security Vetting requirements,  you must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years for SC clearance.  Candidates who were posted abroad for service with HM Government, Armed Forces or within a UK government role - will still be considered. More information on SC clearance can be found
