Mental Health Service Manager
As the Porchlight service manager within Mental Health Together, you will lead a team of people working frontline supporting people as they begin their journey into mental health recovery. You will help to develop the Porchlight team, in all areas of their practice and making sure that quality standards are implemented and maintained. You will have an evident commitment to quality practice, making sure that support is consistently of a high standard, and that a culture of continuous improvement is developed. Managing a dispersed team, you will be a strong communicator, leading by example and skilled in understanding how to adapt your style to suit different learning and development needs.
This role is part of the newly established Kent & Medway service, Mental Health Together (MHT) for which Porchlight is one of the strategic partners; this is the transformed multi-agency offer, which brings all the services and agencies that support people with varying mental health needs much closer together. This ensures that people get the right care, without having to navigate service boundaries and without repeatedly telling their story.
This role is perfect for individuals with significant experience of working within a community mental health and / or wellbeing setting, with a strong focus on quality and improvement, and the ability to effectively manage a team of community-based workers.
Are you right for the job?
- Do you have significant experience of leading within community mental health and wellbeing services?
- Do you have experience of working collaboratively to deliver a developing service?
- Do you have the ability to listen to and understand people to find out what they need, and through coaching, make a plan together that they can achieve?
- Do you feel passionate about improving people’s experience of mental health services?
Working pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
Base: Negotiable across East Kent to be agreed upon appointment
Interview date: 13th June 2024
Please note, salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
