We are seeking a Supporter Care and  Data Coordinator to join our amazing Fundraising team.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills with experience of using database software (Raiser’s Edge).

Jewish Care’s Fundraising & Community Engagement Department has an annual revenue target of £16m.  This role will support the team and ensure that our supporters receive the highest standard of customer service, and that all fundraising income is processed and thanked in a timely manner, adding value to our supporters’ relationship with Jewish Care.

The role is working an average 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday and is a hybrid role of no less than 2 days a week office based and working from home 3 days per week.

What you will be doing:
  • Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new donors who respond to our fundraising activities by phone or by email.
  • Ensuring all relevant donor information is maintained on appropriate ‘Committed Giving’ files (e.g., Direct Debits, Standing Orders etc.) so donations are collected in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Update and maintaining the fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge) including inputting daily income (e.g., entering, coding, and photocopying all income batches, processing credit card payments, in-house fulfilment of appeals, downloading data from the internet and other sources), researching, generating reports, updating information accurately and timely and to agreed standards and timescales to ensure accurate data is maintained.
  • Ensuring the highest standard of supporter care is adhered to for all supporters when assisting with general enquiries, telephone donations and preparing correspondence - specifically ‘Thank You’ letters - enabling excellent donor relationships to be built.
  • Assisting and preparing the monthly gift aid claims, ensuring all declarations are up to date on the system and filed to ensure all criteria are met for auditing purposes.
  • Providing basic system training to all new users of the system
  • Proactively contributing towards the supporter care programme, ensuring fundraisers and marketers are aware of changes in supporter behaviour (including reactivation); identify new supporters as they come to file.
  • Assisting and Attending Fundraising events as appropriate.
To be considered for this role you will need:
  • Experience of working within the fundraising or not for profit sector
  • Good understanding of Gift Aid procedures.
  • Worked with database software including Raiser’s Edge
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of customer service and data processing.
  • High computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer services skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience of office administration systems.
  • Good understanding of Gift Aid procedures.
