Important to note beforesubmitting: The agency Mgr requires that the selected candidate beavailable ON SITE (5 days/week) for the first 2 3 weeks until mgris comfortable that the contractor is up and running with allinternal processes. After that the regular schedule will be 4days/week ON SITE 1 day remote. If they cannot agree to thisarrangement then pls do not submit them.

This is a 6month Contract to Hire role. Candidate cannot be hiredby the agency bf that time period.

CandidateMUST be interested and eligible for full time hire after 6 months(Green card holder or USC only).

Beadvised: There are NO guarantees they will be hired as FTE theywill still need to apply and interview internally for the Fulltimerole. Salary/compensation for the FTE can be discussed at a laterdate or if an interview is requested.

ABOUT THEROLE

This team at VITA managesmultiple contracts. Separate NDAs for VITA (around the contractsthey support) will apply if selected.

Individual will be responsible for: Assisting the TCSM(Telecommunications & Supplier Management Team) withdocumentation oversight and contract and supplier management forthe Telecommunications Contracts under our purview. Individual musthave background with:
  • VirginiasPublic Procurement Act (VPPA) if candidate does not have this priorknowledge they must be willing to read/understand legislation getup to speed around this info and determine how it can be applied tothe technology contracts with which they will be working. Trainingwill be available around VPPA for the selected candidate.

  • Managing TelecommunicationsContracts & Suppliers (a solid foundation in this area isrequired)
  • Evaluating and suggesting contractlanguage and making associated recommendations
  • Assisting with the management of Supplier performanceissues
  • Understanding of how services mustwork together to meet the endtoend business needs of thecustomer
  • Experience understanding and applyingService Level Agreements and Reports to manage Supplier performanceand adherence to contracts
  • Demonstratedability to learn and use technology to convey issues and overseework
  • Demonstrated experience developing anddocumenting processes and using VISIO Word Excel PowerPointSharePoint (or similar tools)
  • Demonstratedhigh level verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working with and influencing stakeholdersthroughout all levels throughout their organization suppliersorganizations and customers organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines andmanage multiple simultaneous efforts
  • Experience working with matrixed teams

    Selected candidate will work closely with existingstaff to understand the needs and operations of the unit and willprovide coverage when these individuals are out of the office.Through training the individual will learn to act as a subjectmatter expert for efforts related to the procurement ofTelecommunications Contracts (all aspects wireless wirelinebroadband and network).

    The selectedcandidate will learn to assist VITA customers as needed to assistin the procurement of the best services for their needs. Furtherthe position will provide input & support for the upkeep of theTelecommunications website including updates to pricing. At timesthe role will require research to ensure extensions new servicesand new contracts are best in class and within expected marketparameters. The individual will assist with the creation and themaintenance of the TCSM teams documentation and will assist withthe physical location management of contracts and distribution toappropriate parties.
