Barts Health have an exciting position available for a Radiographer with MRI experience based at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The post would suit a highly motivated and experienced Radiographer with a desire to work within a team across modern scanners with a varied workload.

This will be a rewarding but challenging role and we welcome radiographers with the desire to stretch their clinical skills and enhance their prospects for career progression.

This is a key role within the Imaging Department and the post holder will have a pivotal role in supporting the service to meet its activity and quality improvement priorities, diagnostic and cancer performance standards, and strategic development of the service.

The post holder will be able to establish credibility with a wide range of individuals and relate well with clinical and non-clinical teams, be patient focused with excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job

The aim of this role is to provide high quality, effective Imaging services for the MRI department at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The post is rotational through the radiology department at Whipps Cross University Hospital. 60% of the rotation is in MRI with the remaining 40% shared between CT, general X-Ray, fluoroscopy, theatres, mobile Imaging and on call commitments.

The post holder will undertake clinical work within the imaging department but the primary responsibility and interest will be in MRI.

BSc Hons degree in Diagnostic imaging or equivalent Current Health and Care Professions Council registration

Post graduate qualification

Experience

Evidence of CPD, including attendance at relevant short course & study days

Participation in the recruitment and selection process at the band 3-5 grade

Skills

Competent to perform IV injections and cannulation (or willing to undergo training) Skilled in keyboard and mouse operation of computerised technology Able to operate VDU equipment

Good understanding of National regulations relating to MRI, and MHRA safety guidelines Understanding of Clinical Governance and Health and Safety
