You will be a Physiotherapist with a passion to provide care to patients with neurological deficits.

This role provides specialist therapy input and management to patients with a neurological diagnosis throughout the acute wards and stroke unit. We have ambition to expand the role to include community stroke rehab in partnership with our community colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the post include assessment and treatment of stroke and neurological patients within the wards, supervision and mentoring of non-qualified staff and students, taking part in in-service training, and taking a role in service improvement projects.

You will be contributing to the development of the stroke unit and neurological pathways through the hospital to ensure quality and equity of provision across all neurological diagnoses. You will primarily be based on the stroke unit with some outreach to other acute wards as needed.

You will have ability to travel independently across trust sites and be able to carry out weekend working.
