The Primary Care Careers team iswell established in the NHS primary care environment and is now ready toposition itself as a strategic partner to integrated care boards (ICBs) indelivering the desired outcomes of national agendas, such as the NHS Long TermPlan, at a local level.

Working within the Primary CareCareers team, the recruitment officer will support the delivery of aninnovative and high quality, end to end recruitment service to GP practices andprimary care networks (PCNs) across England.

Operating in a fast paced andchallenging environment, using innovative and creative methods to attractcandidates, the role will include supporting customers, candidates,stakeholders and colleagues.

Please note, due to the ongoing cost reduction programme and restructure underway at SNEE ICB (due to end in Summer 2024), prior consideration for this role may be given to existing staff who are affected by this programme and this role may be removed from the recruitment process at any time.

Main duties of the job

Support the delivery ofsustainable solutions for current and future, permanent and temporary workforcerecruitment challenges, across the customer base.

Contribute to the delivery of arobust recruitment plan (linked to the Primary Care Careers Strategy).

Responsible for tracking theentire recruitment journey from vacancy through to employment and regularlyupdating colleagues and customers with progress reports.

Build and maintain effectiverelationships with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders andcandidates to deliver high levels of customer service.

Provide support to hiringmanagers, candidates and stakeholders during the recruitment process.

Maintain knowledge of thecandidate market, executing creative and innovative methods to attract adiverse range of applications.

Support the organisation anddelivery of candidate attraction events and recruiter workshops.

Maintain knowledge andunderstanding of all PCC systems, to deliver an efficient recruitment processand ensure accurate data is held and distributed.

Work closely with the systems developmentmanager to maintain and operate PCC systems.

Work closely with the communicationand engagement lead to support recruitment campaigns and engagement.

Undertake specific projects tosupport the delivery of key objectives and strategic work streams.
