Job summary
We have an exciting opening for a Ward Manager Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative services to the clinical matron. Isolation ward is a 7 bedded ward in Basingstoke looking after the needs of general medicine patients.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility for providing a full secretarial and administrative service to the designated Managers. This will include diary management, management and production of all correspondence and the development and maintenance of document management systems To work autonomously taking full responsibility for the diary management and administration of the designated Managers Establish and implement policies and procedures to maintain efficient department/office and filing systems to facilitate the smooth running of the administrative services, ensuring that the working environment is kept tidy, safe & secure To monitor e-mail and other correspondence and respond where appropriate. To bring essential items to the attention of the designated Managers for action. Provide accurate, timely and relevant handover information using electronic systems where available Maintain confidentiality at all times, as required by legislation and trust policy

Level 4 NVQ or equivalent Senior administration training or relevant experience Recognised computer literacy course ( ECDL) or equivalent experience

Professional PA/secretarial qualification Project management training/qualification

Significant experience as a Management Assistant , some of which should be to very senior level executive Experience of providing secretarial support to meetings (including formal minute writing, preparation of agenda etc Supervisory or line management experience
