Main duties of the job

To operationally lead Department's departmental/division's systems: recruitment and selection, staffing Admin team.

Responsibility for daily management of staff ensuring effective administrative running of the service in terms of both systems and equipment: implementation and maintenance of office/related issues. Ensuring delivery of service. Using initiative to ensure patients are booked in line with local and national access targets. To work in the Access Team environment supporting the Elective Access manager to provide a professional efficient and effective centralised booking service for a variety of Outpatient/inpatient schedules, ensuring KPI's are maintained. Complete daily reviews of booking utilisation across the three divisions and ensure they are in line with trust expectations and standards. To identify where capacity cannot be utilised and escalate as appropriate. Maintain and update reports within the department. To undertake IPDR and 121 sessions within the access Team.

This post requires a flexible approach due to frequent short notice demands upon the team and the ability to proactively manage effectively. Ensuring recruitment and staffing levels are maintained.
