Pharmacy Assistant/Trainee Dispenser - Broadford Pharmacy, 34 hours per week.

Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm (daily 1 hour unpaid break) and Saturday, 9am-1pm.

As a Pharmacy Assistant/Trainee Dispenser you will be the first point of contact within the Pharmacy for our patients and customers and you will assist the Pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of our patients medications. We are looking for someone who is amazing with the public, ready to get stuck in and happy to learn on the job.

As a Right Medicine Pharmacy Counter Assistant/Trainee Dispenser, you’ll work as part of the Pharmacy team along with Dispensers, Technicians and the Pharmacist to provide outstanding care for our patients and customers. The role will involve greeting patients and customers and providing any assistance they may require, promoting Pharmacy services along with advising on over the counter products, the receiving and distribution of prescriptions to patients under the guidance of the Pharmacist along with any other duties essential to the smooth operation of the Pharmacy. You will also assist the Pharmacist and Technicians in the labelling, endorsing, ordering and preparation of all types of prescriptions and medicine orders, co-ordinating daily and weekly prescriptions ensuring where necessary, scripts are re-ordered and all items are made up in advance ready for collection or delivery, dealing directly with patients in obtaining medical information and dispensing prescriptions.

About You?

We are ideally looking for someone who has Pharmacy experience however, this is not essential and applications are welcome from those looking to progress into a role within Pharmacy. 

This role is one that will require a number of formal training programmes that require completion both in working hours, but also sometime outside of working hours.

You should have the ability to work in a busy, fast paced healthcare environment, be reliable, have excellent customer service skills along with a friendly personality that our patients can trust
