Argyll and Bute Council, United Kingdom NHS Highland Full time

NHS Highland is dedicated to fostering equality and diversity within our workforce while eliminating any form of unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to ensure that our workforce is genuinely representative, allowing every employee to feel valued and empowered to perform at their best.

We are currently looking to hire a motivated and seasoned Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to play a vital role in both standard Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the establishment of various innovative workstreams.

Our services cater to children and young individuals aged 0 to 18 years, along with their families and caregivers, providing a comprehensive array of specialized psychological evaluations and interventions. This often involves collaborative efforts with our partner organizations.

In the region of Argyll and Bute, we seek high-quality professionals who prioritize a healthy work-life balance, demonstrate creativity and adaptability, and excel in collaborative team environments.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to fully utilize your expertise, balancing clinical responsibilities with supervisory and consultative roles, alongside contributions to service enhancement. We are eager to support the development of clinicians' specialized interests.

We maintain strong connections with national organizations and training programs, offering placements for trainees from Doctoral, EPP, and MSc courses.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the future of our youth and are committed to thoughtfully expanding our team.

If you aspire to make a meaningful impact and seek professional development with exceptional continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities, we encourage you to reach out.

Relocation assistance is available for suitable candidates who meet the criteria set by NHS Highland.

Applicants must possess a Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, be registered with the HCPC, and have experience working with children and young people facing complex challenges. Experience or training related to eating disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, or trauma will be considered advantageous.
