Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our psychological therapies service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to adults presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Supervise and support Assistant Psychologists and trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Good Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above)
  • Doctorate qualification in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
