Job summary

This is a key leadership role in the Trust working for the Director of Nursing and as a key member of the senior nursing and midwifery team. The post holder will be responsible with the Director of Nursing for the development of an effective framework to enable the delivery of nursing, midwifery and care services within United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.

The post holder will be highly visible, senior, authoritative individual who provides assurance in collaboration with the Director of Nursing to the Board. They will be an effective and visible leader who will enable the organisation to continuously improve its performance in relation to nursing and midwifery practice.

The post holder will ensure the Trust has a comprehensive and progressive nursing and midwifery framework and sufficiently robust systems of internal control, that ensure the Trust consistently delivers on its integrated improvement plan from ward to Board.

The post holder will work in collaboration with the Director of Nursing to be the public face of nursing and midwifery and will be responsible for the production and delivery of our framework linked to our journey to outstanding.

Essential

Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Educated to a master's level in a relevant field of study or equivalent study Management or leadership qualification or experience

Desirable

Have completed or working towards, or plan to work towards a PhD Relevant post graduate teaching qualification
