About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse in the Surgical Emergency Assessment Unit (SEAU).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care
  • Lead a team of nurses to provide high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of the unit and its services
  • Deputize for the Department Manager as required

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1
  • Teaching and Assessing qualification or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Degree
  • Recruitment and Selection Training
  • Managing Attendance Training
  • ALERT
  • Extended competencies, e.g., cannulation, venepuncture, and ECG recording
  • Advanced clinical nursing skills
  • Ability to teach to all grades of staff
  • Demonstrate knowledge of budget management
  • Evidence of commitment to own professional development
  • Evidence of reflective practice
