The opportunity
Responsible for the production of software and the translation of specifications into physical software assets. Provide expertise in all aspects of development and be able to understand Business needs accordingly. Your responsibilities will include: Share knowledge and coach other Developers in the team. Work as a member of a team of developers within the Development Team following an Agile Scrum methodology. Provide 3rd level support for Openwork IT solutions. Participate in Scrum meetings and help other members of the team when needed. Adhere to project lifecycle governance. Provide advice, guidance and assistance to colleagues as required. Identify risks and issues early and rectify problems and deviations from the plan. Develop solutions to work problems by using analytical, interpretive and evaluative thought. What will you need to succeed?
High level IT analysis and development skills demonstrating excellence with Microsoft and other key technologies. Demonstrate expertise in a variety of application and development frameworks which must include: .NET Framework / .NET Core Visual Studio / Visual Studio code C# JavaScript T-SQL Enterprise level source control (Git and TFS) Azure platform or similar cloud platform Build and release, CICD platform experience Power Platform including Power Automate Experience of the following is desirable: WCF, SOAP, REST SOA, JSON, XML, Razor HTML, CSS jQuery, Typescript MVC, MVVM (e.g. Knockout / Angular) Microsoft SQL Server IIS and awareness of certificate management TDD, Server / Client side unit test frameworks, code coverage Extensive and deep knowledge of Openwork’s technology stack. Must demonstrate and apply extensive knowledge of Agile Scrum and related methodologies. Prove and understand the importance of the user experience and user journey when developing. Knowledge and / or appreciation of Financial Services is desirable. Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other development team members and divisions to improve skills and avoid single points of failure. Must be able to analyse a process, look for improvements and then look at the best options / tools to automate this process.
