You will work under the indirectsupervision of the Finance Manager and undertake tasks and duties delegated toyou following policy and procedures. You will be responsible for assisting theFinance Manager in delivering efficient administrative support that facilitates the smooth runningof the Finance Department,contributing to the wider organization. You will support and assist thePartners and Management team in the provision of effective financial control across all establishments.

Your primary focus will beto process Finance Transactions ensuring that they are appropriately authorizedand processed in an efficient and accurate manner. Your work will involvedata preparation and entry into the Xero Accounting system

Main duties of the job

Jobsummary:

You must work at all times within your own competence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense inyour day-to-day activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The dutiesand responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the Practice finance teammay include any or all the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Finance Manager, dependent on current andevolving Practice workload and staffing levels:

Raise invoices and ensureincome is recovered by target dates.

Timely submission of allclaimable income

Ensuring costing andprices for invoicing.

Oversee purchase ofsurgery supplies and vaccine contracts working in conjunction with practicedepartments.

Process invoicesauthorised for payment within guidelines and payment terms.

Reconciliation of bankaccounts.

Credit Card reconciliationand recording of receipts.

Management of practicecard receipts software and users.

Day to day management ofpetty cash.

To prepare and delivermonthly banking.

Submission ofreimbursement claims of rates and other invoices.

Submission of the monthlydrugs reimbursement claim and reconciliation of payment.

Operate as a team playerto ensure that knowledge, information, and research are shared to enable the Finance team todevelop and provide a consistently high quality, cohesive, professional, andproactive service.

Business responsibilities:

Assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.

Maintaining and increasing sources of income.

Minimising expenditure.

Support the training and development of newstaff.

Undertake specificassigned tasks, projectsupport or development which may arise fromtime to time.

Maintain accurateand complete documentation and records utilising as appropriate and inaccordance with Middlewood Partnership protocol.

Follow agreed protocols, referring to seniorstaff for guidance.

Maintain the ethos and cultureof Middlewood Partnership.

Positively promote Middlewood Partnership.

Ensure rationalisation of resources.

Attend in-house governance, educational and staff meetings as appropriate.

To help plan, developand support the introduction of new workingprocesses to optimisequality.

Train staff to attain optimumperformance.

To build and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals, includingGPs, GP surgery personnel, CCG personnel etc.

Behave in a professional mannerat all times.
