Responsibilities
  • Planand deliver science lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs ofSEN students ensuring that all learners are engaged and able toaccess the curriculum.
  • Work closely with theSEN team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) andimplement strategies that support students academic progress inscience.
  • Adapt teaching techniques andresources to accommodate various learning styles and abilitiesusing creative approaches to ensure that science is accessible andenjoyable for all students.
  • Provide ongoingassessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adjustinstruction as necessary ensuring that all SEN students areachieving their learningobjectives.
  • Collaborate with other subjectteachers SEN staff parents and external specialists to create aholistic support system for SEN students within theschool.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of SENteaching strategies contributing to the wider school community bysharing best practices and attending relevant professionaldevelopmentsessions.
ExperienceandQualifications
  • QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) with a focus or specialization inScience
  • Experience teaching science tosecondary school students with a proven track record of workingwith students with a range of special educationalneeds
  • Strong understanding of SEN teachingstrategies with the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverseneeds of students
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working withcolleagues parents and external agencies
  • Apassion for inclusive education and the ability to inspire andmotivate SEN students to achieve their best
  • Aclear DBS check and the legal right to work within theUK
