BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for a Sales Compliance Account Manager– 22 months FTC, based in the north of England. This role is remote, reporting into the Summit ONE Campus in Farnborough.

The Sales Compliance, Partner Management department ensures that our intermediaries are treating our customers fairly, with the proper Governance, Culture and Customer Processes. We do this by monitoring sales data, public data records, and performing oversight activities.

What awaits you?

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Sales Compliance Monitoring activities to support BMW Financial Services & Alphabet Financial Services Finance & Insurance products and services being sold within the Intermediary networks in a compliant manner whilst also ensuring sufficient evidence is captured and documented. Responsible for ensuring that competitor approaches (i.e. annual reviews) to compliance are understood within BMW Financial Services & Alphabet Financial Services, thus protecting our commercial position within the marketplace. Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of Sales Intermediaries FCA permissions and business practices, ensuring that they meet the requirements set out by BMW Financial Services & Alphabet Financial Services interpretation of the applicable regulations. Responsible for the input into the future design framework and growing requirements for system and data enhancements. Pro-actively identify trends through review (and design) of data available, to advance our compliance monitoring approach for BMW Financial Services & Alphabet Financial Services, provide improvement recommendations and manage changes (when required) with internal and external stakeholders, whilst ensuring all segments are considered and a full audit trail exists. Gathering insight into our Sales Intermediaries system landscapes to evidence the need to ensure our Sales Intermediaries adhere to the legal and compliance changes for all customer facing documentation to minimise the risk. Responsible for assessing the risk of our Sales Intermediaries to ensure a good level of oversight. Management of the portfolio overview via a Health Check program. This enables us to have a top-down and bottom-up approach.

What should you bring along?

Proven experience and knowledge of BMW Financial Services or similar organisation and/or oversight environment or a role that requires similar compliance monitoring or audit skills. Significant relevant experience or relevant degree level desired, but as an open employer we will also consider candidates with proven track records in study or achievement through other routes. ICA certificate in Compliance is desirable. IMI Accredited Assessor is desirable. SAF Expert and Advanced level to be achieved and maintained. Extremely strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills. Ability to identify key risks with sales process through thorough interview/investigation measures to ensure that customers are being treated fairly and key trigger points are evident from the reviews conducted with external Sales Intermediaries. Ability to understand complexity within Intermediaries to ensure that the correct culture around sales is embedded within the whole organisation. Demonstrates high level of self-management and the identification of escalation points to ensure these can be managed appropriately. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Very strong verbal/written communication and report writing skills and willingness to engage at all levels of the business both internally and externally. Self-motivated, organised and confident in taking the lead where required. A very high level of attention to detail is essential.
