About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Sovos Compliance. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our sales team and delivering innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domain expertise around our Indirect Tax Technology Suite (ITTS) solutions
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the functionality and technical architecture of our products
  • Assist in the client discovery process to uncover unforeseen challenges and desired solution architecture
  • Develop a firm understanding of customer needs, pain points, and requirements around ITTS and align Sovos solutions to fulfill their needs
  • Work closely with our sales team to conduct sales and solutions presentations
  • Collaborate with Professional Services and product functions to ensure a successful onboarding post-sale
  • Continually improve demonstration capabilities to present a compelling and coherent narrative about the key features and benefits of Sovos solutions
  • Conduct in-depth technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 1 year of Sales Engineer experience or previous experience in a product, support, and/or professional services role
  • Ability to be strategic towards business outcomes and manage day-to-day details and deadlines
  • Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize activities
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion
  • Self-motivated and strong drive to succeed
  • Working understanding of data communication protocols preferred but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Multiple language skills preferred
  • Occasional travel required for client meetings, trade shows, and special projects
