WHAT TO EXPECT

As an ADAS Hardware Engineer within the Hardware Group, you will be taking on a role that is critical for delivering AAD & Motion technologies across multiple present and future Model Years for JLR. Your focus is within the team that develops, integrates and maintains all Hardware for engineering tasks and deliverables for multiple systems for the application of the Hardware onto the defined programmes.

You'll take responsibility for elements of external facing component design, validation and sign off with supplier engineering team. Internal facing mechanical & electrical integration to the vehicle, validation and homologated vehicle signoff.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

You’ll be an effective communicator, who will have the ability to speak to stakeholders across all levels of the business as well as working closely with suppliers to ensure that products are completed to JLR’s impeccable standards. As this role is incredibly varied, you’ll need to be agile in your approach and willing to get stuck into any task that is required of you and provide support to the wider team around you. You’ll be proactive in your approach and be prepared to “make things happen” rather than waiting for things to come to you.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in Hardware validation and have knowledge within the following areas:

Mechanical Component Integration Electronic signal interfacing Electronic signal processing Electronic signal quality Electronic power supply

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge of various electrical sensors (Analogue and Digital) Understanding of systems analysis and HW validation Experience of production hardware development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development V cycle, from requirements to validation
