ROLE OVERVIEW

This position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of vehicles, utilizing both innovative and established technologies. We are at the forefront of mobility and automotive advancements, collaborating with industry leaders.

As a Functional Safety Software Engineer, you will collaborate with System Engineers, Component Engineers, and external partners to ensure that all outputs meet the necessary functional safety standards and requirements. Your role will involve engaging with hardware and software development teams to design systems compliant with ISO 26262, conducting safety analyses, and defining safety goals along with functional and technical safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the delivery of functional safety software outputs within the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) across various Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
  • Contribute to the establishment of targets and verification methods based on Safety Requirements and Safety Analysis.
  • Conduct software safety analyses including SW-FMEA, DFA, and FTA.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to departmental teams on functional safety matters, including issue resolution and data analysis.
  • Ensure that products adhere to functional safety processes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and/or IEC in safety-critical development projects.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with software safety analysis techniques (SW-FMEA, DFA, FTA).
  • Understanding of requirements management (RM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
