We are searching for a passionate Junior Sous Chef at In Horto- London Bridge’s finest restaurant. In Horto, translated from Latin to ‘In The Garden’, is inspired by a family’s communal dining experience in a garden centered around a wood-fired oven.

ROLE: Junior Sous Chef – In Horto 

SALARY: £15 p/h plus service  

REPORTS TO: Head Chef

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant’s opening
  • Ensure the kitchen is always kept clean and hygienic.
  • Make sure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
  • Monitor and ensuring that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year kitchen experience as a junior Sous Chef or senior CDP working in a busy kitchen
  • A passion for consistently high standards and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety, food hygiene, COSH and HACCP legislation, Food Safety Level 3. 
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude and be an excellent team leader.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and be excited to work in a vibrant, busy environment.
