About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Galvin at Windows, a prestigious restaurant located in the heart of London. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes, including menu planning and food costing.
  • Supervise and train junior chefs, ensuring they are aware of kitchen procedures and protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen procedures, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior chefs.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
