Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? Do you have the dedication and compassion to support children with severe and complex needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our vibrant client school in Barking and Dagenham

Your Role:

As a PMLD Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:

- Personalized Support: Delivering high-quality, individualized care and educational support to students with PMLD, ensuring their unique needs are met.
- Classroom Assistance:Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, enabling students to engage and thrive.
- Communication Support: Facilitating effective communication using alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, and assistive technology.
- Personal Care: Providing personal care and support to students, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behaviour strategies to manage and support students’ behavioural needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of students’ progress and any incidents, ensuring clear communication with the teaching staff and parents.

Requirements:

We need you to have the following set of documents:
- The Right to Work in the UK
- An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
- Two professional child related references
