About theteam:

The Gold team is responsiblefor processing gold and highvalue jewellery for auction and tradesale. Because of the nature of the team handling valuable stock wecollaborate closely with one another passing tasks between teammembers to achieve overall department goals.

Ourteam members have a great depth of knowledge in antique and vintagejewellery and we are all passionate about the subject. Thedepartment is full of daily discoveries and learning opportunitiesbecause antique jewellery often comes with fascinating stories totell.

About the role:

This is a new role within theGold and Precious Metals department reporting to the Head of FineJewellery and Precious Metals. Youll be joining a growingdepartment that aims to enhance team efficiency and support broaderbusiness objectives.

Key goals andobjectives:

  • Increasethe volume of highvalue stock listed on selling platforms and withour auction partners.

  • Improve the accuracy ofstock listings.

  • Collaboratewith the team to implement new listing strategies and proceduresfor maximising revenue and streamlining workloads.

In yourfirst three months youwill:

  • Familiariseyourself with the inventory management systems listing toolsguidelines and procedures.

  • Coordinate with teammembers to streamline listingprocesses.

Inyour first six months youwill:

  • Takeownership of stock listings for specific auction houses.

  • Implement improvements tostreamline listing processes and increaseefficiency.

Inyour first year youwill:

  • Collaboratewith other teams to integrate listing processes for a seamlessworkflow.

Keyresponsibilities:

  • Accordingto current auction guidelines list precious metals gold and otherhighvalue stock on selling platforms.

  • Assist in listing allhighvalue auction stock onto sheets and other product managementtools/ platforms for each individual auction house.

  • Collaborate with teammembers to optimise department efficiency and revenue generation.

  • Process returnsfacilitating stock rework or relisting when necessary.

  • Work with other departmentswhen necessary to ensure all listings created are distributed tothe correct areas.

  • Maintainuptodate knowledge of stock inventory and auction schedules.

Essentialskills andexperience:

  • Aknowledge of precious metals vintage antique gold and/ or jewellerywould be hugely beneficial to the role.

  • Experience using Excel totrack and record figures with strong numeracy and data entryskills.

  • Good attention todetail.

  • Previous experiencewith security procedures of highvalue stock.
