Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Chorlton-cum-Hardy

  • Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

As a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Humanities department, supporting both students and teachers in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of engaging Humanities lessons, helping to prepare resources and activities
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help in understanding key topics
  • Supporting students with varying academic abilities to ensure they stay on track with their learning
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with marking and providing constructive feedback under the supervision of teaching staff
  • Supporting students in their revision and exam preparation for Humanities subjects
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities, such as Humanities clubs or school trips
  • Collaborating with teachers to implement lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in a Humanities subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies, Politics, Sociology)
  • A strong interest in education and supporting young learners
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • A proactive and patient approach to working with students of different abilities
  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential
