Job summary

Akey aspect of the role is to provide assistance tothe Finance Administrator in the areas of finance and administration. The postis instrumental in ensuring that systems and processes are in place whichproduce timely, accurate and high-quality information and control so that Conexuscan effectively discharge its duties and provide delivery of its serviceprogramme in adherence to its mandate.

Main duties of the job

The role comes with a training package thatwill result in an AAT level 3 qualification. In the initial 12 to 18 months,you would work towards AAT Level 2. This will cover key foundational topicsincluding an introduction to bookkeeping, principles of bookkeeping controls,principles of costing and building knowledge of the business environment. Youwill be provided with time off to support your studies, with learning takingplace with a leading provider. Once you have completed the level 2qualification, you will continue your progression with AAT Level 3.

This course moves on to the preparation offinancial statements, management accounting, tax, and business awareness. Uponcompletion of the qualification, we hope to be able to offer you a permanentposition within our team.

Essential

Analytical skills & problem-solving ability, being able to anticipate obstacles: using analytical techniques and specialist knowledge manage projects, interpret data and draw logical conclusions from this. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of various organisations Ability to prioritise and manage own workload. Possess a positive attitude and strong desire to learn & succeed.

Desirable

Proficiency in IT skills, Microsoft Office and ledger systems. Experience with Sage accounts packages.

Qualifications

Essential

A minimum of 3 GCSEs with Maths and English at grade C or 5 and above. Evidence of continuous development and of acquiring new skills/knowledge.

Desirable

Any further relevant qualifications/training that would be applicable to Finance or business administration.

Highly organised and methodical with a focus on detail and quality. Able to prioritise own work, schedule and organise own time, sometimes managing conflicting priorities with limited supervision. Able to coordinate and schedule competing priorities for a range of staff and external partners. Has a strong commitment to team working and demonstrate excellent interpersonal team working skills. Pragmatic and intuitive approach to problem solving. Comfortable with working in a busy office environment and able to manage competing priorities switching in response to need.

Knowledge of information governance standards around data security and confidentiality.

Desirable

Experience of working in a business environment working collaboratively with colleagues in a finance or similar team. Previous work in a public sector environment. Experience of successfully recording and inputting data into digital systems and maintaining accurate records. Experience of working with accounts software packages. Sage Accounts package.

Able to meet Conexus Healthcare CIC standards of attendance. Independently mobile with a flexible approach to travel across the locality.
