What you will enjoy doing You will manages and ensure compliance with Company safety processes, standards and work instructions, including risk assessments, near miss reporting, task observation and incident investigations and applying appropriate consequence management when necessary You will manages all aspects of legal compliance to meet requirements of Operators license, including vehicle maintenance and driver controls to meet statutory requirements. Also, you will manage a team of drivers across a geographical area, ensuring that key service indicators and cost targets are achieved You will manage branch transport costs, taking corrective action where costs are greater than either the budget or volumes allow, and develop local plans to reduce costs or increase efficiency through better management of resources And lastly, you will be responsible for the achievement of branch safety targets,, ensuring continuous improvement and responsible for ensuring that drivers are trained and competent to understake the requirements of the role

What makes you great

You have numerical and computer literacy You have great communication skills -written/verbal Also, you have good people management experience and skills. You have international CPC and ADR License Furthermore NEBOSH is desirable And lastly, you have experience of management within a Trade Union environment
