Forklift Driver

_**Forklift Driver / Van Driver 1 x pm shifts - Based in Thame nr Aylesbury**_

**Job Overview**

This role is primarily based in the Transport yard and warehouse at our clients head office in Thame. You will be required to work across various activities to support the Transport Manager, including Forklift operations and Van driving. You will need to be flexible, willing to adapt and learn and will be comfortable working in a transport and warehouse environment.

**Responsibilities and Duties for the forklift driver / van driver**:
**Vehicle loading / unloading - As a Forklift / Warehouse Operative**, you will be required to support in various areas of the warehouse and packing departments. This will include moving or collecting items from the warehouse or packing and labelling items accurately for distribution to clients.

**C&D Driving - To Collect and Deliver **to assigned locations in a timely manner, ensuring all specific processes are followed.

**Meeting delivery targets**:

- The transport department and warehouse are fast paced environments, and all delivery targets must be meant.

**Customer Contact** - Dealing with all customers politely and with respect.

**Health & Safety**:

- Supporting the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors where required to ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met. Complying with all Health & Safety regulations as set out by our regulatory bodies.

**Skills required for the forklift driver / van driver**:

- Dealing with customers on a F2F basis in a friendly and courteous manner
- Ability to work on your own and manage your delivery route
- Enthusiastic and willingness to learn
- Keen to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility

**Qualifications required (preferred not essential)**:
Current Counterbalance Forklift license

Previous Driving experience

Full and clean driving license

**Working Hours for the forklift driver / van driver**:
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

**Contracted Overtime**:Saturday mornings: 5am - 11am (Once per month)

**Salary & Benefits**:
Circa £24,500 to £26,500 (dependent on experience) 20 days holiday per annum (plus 8 Bank Holidays)
