Salary: £24,400 per annum pro rata.
Location: Norfolk. (based remotely).
Contract/Hours: Fixed Term Contract, 9 months, Part-Time, 25 hours per week.

A bit about the service
Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service provide targeted support to families with children aged 0-5 years. The service offers a range of early childhood services for parents, prospective parents, and young children to support in areas including bonding, speech and language development, parenting challenges, mental well-being, and healthy relationships.
Candidates are encouraged who come from a strong social care background or have worked with children 0-5 years old.
The role is covering a wide area of Norfolk, but initially you will be based remotely working from home.

As Family Support Practitioner you will be part of a supportive and dedicated team with opportunities for development. You will make a difference by:
Responding to referrals into Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service.Assessing suitability of referrals using the Norfolk Continuum of Needs Guidance.Communicating with parents / carers and partners to ensure the families need can be met by the Service.Maintaining accurate records by following process and procedure.Using a strengths-based approach to working with families.Taking an outcome focused approach for children and families.Let's talk about you as a Family Support Practitioner
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic forward thinking Family Support Practitioner, confident in leading and bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to the role. You will find full job description attached but the ‘must-haves' are:
NVQ level 3 or equivalent.Experience of working directly with children and families, either individually, in a group setting, or online.Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication .The ability to maintain written records to a high standard. The ability to coordinate referral, assessment, and support.Confidence in IT systemsAccess to a suitable method of transport to travel to various settings to carry out your role (essential).Good to know
