TheRole

To manage and facilitate theefficient undertaking of Castores logistics operations and carriageactivities in the UK for eCommerce Retail Wholesale & Giftof Kit. These consist of:

A network of carriersmanaged directly by Castore or through a serviceprovider.

The multichannel distribution centrelocated inKnowsley.

Responsibilities

Manageoverseeing all activities at our distributioncentre

Oversee all delivery interactions for allcustomer channels within the UK

Oversee allcustomer communications around fulfilment of ourresponsibilities.

Measure and drive performancein our activities to improve customer satisfaction andefficiency

Foster and promote links between thedifferent 3rd parties logistics teams and head officefunctions

Ensure that operational &tactical and planning for site activities and carrier services isbeing undertaken

Ensure that relationships andcontractual obligations are being met by all parties within yourremit

Support and/or project manage the furtherdevelopment of the UK site (automation andsoftware)

What does success looklike

Fulfilment activities have beenregularly communicated to internal and external customers &stakeholders any issues have been effectively reported andsolved

Reports on delivery activity have beencreated and maintained

Projects (systems handlingsolutions ) have been supported in analysis solution developmentand implementation

Continuous improvement isdriven with a goal to increase operational excellence with reducedcosts

Ways in which to streamline and improveworking processes have been recommended

Thenecessary level of operational & tactical capacity with all3PL business partners in the UK delivering efficient and costeffective solutions has beenprovided

Commercially astute in order to driveappropriate decision making

Analytical mindset

Able to manage and prioritise own workloadeffectively especially in a time criticalenvironment

Ability to workin silo or part of ateam

OperatingSkills:

An indepth understanding oflogistics KPIs/SLAs and the ability to ensure that suppliers arehitting targets

Understanding of the B2C and B2Bcarrier market

Excellent knowledge of thecarriage sector of eCommerce parcel and palletdistribution

Knowledge of the logisticswarehousing sector and previous experience of dealing with thirdparty contractors

WMS system knowledgerequired

Experiencerequired:

Working within an logisticsenvironment

Managementexperience

Retail sector wholesale and eCommerceexperience

Particularly sports/fashion retail ispreferred

Experience with carriage andwarehousing

Experience in working with externalpartners

Previous experience working for a 3PL ormanaged inhouse operationideally
