Job summary

Colne Valley Primary Care Network is looking to appoint an experienced operations manager to lead our organisation,on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week (days and times negotiable).

Main duties of the job

Take an active role in the development and embedding of the PCNs culture, values and reputation as providers of high-quality services. Work with and support the clinical director and leadershipteam to develop & deliver the strategic plans, service delivery andcontract performance requirements. Be the first point of contact for practice managers andcommissioners in regard to PCN operations. Provide line management to all employed staff, to ensurethat they are appropriately embedded in and co-ordinated across the practices. Support the short and long-term financial management of thenetwork. Work with the clinical director to implement ARRS fundedroles and with the practice members on the planning and deployment of theseroles. Responsible for information, data and IT plan in conjunctionwith the digital transformation lead. Co-ordinate public relations and be the press officer onbehalf of the PCN.

The Colne Valley Primary Care Network is a collaboration of six GP practices serving approximately 54,000 patients, from the Kelvedon, Finchingfield, Halstead, Earls Colne, Coggeshall, and Hedingham areas.

Manage and monitor contractual requirements on behalf of thePCN including the provision of performance and management data as requested toNHSE, NHS Digital and ICB.

Co-ordinate intra-practice communications within the PCN,liaise with key partners in the development and monitoring of services andprojects including ICB- NHS England and Patient Participation Groups (PPGs).

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to bachelors degree level, or equivalent experience. Experience of working in primary care within a management role. Experience of working in a role that requires a high degree of autonomy. Experience of managing employees. Experience of project management and change management.

Ability to prioritise own workload. Good IT skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational skills & team working skills. Ability to travel to all sites in the PCN. Flexible and adaptable to team and service needs. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines Flexible approach to change. Reliable, punctual and confident.
