Outreach Support Worker

Your typical day could start providing pre tenancy guidance and ongoing support to customers. Then you might be supporting individuals to furnish and move into properties as well as providing support, guidance and training to customers with low, medium and high support needs to increase their independent living skills.

As an Outreach Support Worker, you’ll be assisting people to live their best life. With a particular focus supporting people with kindness and compassion. You will provide service matter expertise as a secondary worker as part of a multi-disciplinary team with ECC Children & Families.

You’ll be responsible for the effective operation of the Support Service, in line with policies and procedures, including encouraging a co-operative and supportive environment within the service. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be available to work 30 hours a week for a period of 21 months.

Your role covers all aspects of outreach support to children and families. If you’re a caring & compassionate person, then we want to hear from you.

Whilst you will continue to report to, and be managed by Peabody Trust, you will report on day to day matters to the MDT Team Manager Essex County Council and be based in the Basildon ECC office, working 30 hours a week across 5 days.

This role is on a FTC basis until Feb 2026.

Able to work Mon-Fri, 30 hours a week. The understanding and ability to respond to people’s unique needs and desires. Experience of providing support to families. Knowledgeable or have an understanding of housing support needs and benefits.
