Animal Technician

We are looking for an experienced animal technician to join our friendly, hardworking team and be actively involved in the daily care and maintenance of animals within our biofacility situated in Cambridge.
The role holder shall perform general husbandry tasks, looking after welfare requirements of rodents housed in conventional caging or IVCs. The role holder shall be expected to maintain accurate records, check and record environmental parameters, complete health monitoring, alongside general hygiene and cleaning tasks. Additionally, you will have responsibility for colony management and completion of procedures, including Home Office Licensed procedures.
You should be positive, reliable and able to interact with team colleagues and research staff. Experience in a technical/laboratory setting, with specific experience working with rodents housed in IVC's or conventional caging. Experience completing regulated procedures or surgery would be an advantage.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment and a security check.
