We are currently seeking Registered Mental Health Nurses to become part of our dedicated Community Mental Health Team. Based at Aylesbury at the Whiteleaf Centre, our team is committed to providing exceptional care and treatment to adults with mental health challenges. Our goal is to deliver patient-centered care of the highest quality, while supporting our staff in their roles and fostering their professional growth.

As part of the Aylesbury CMHT , you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes medical professionals, psychological therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, RMNs, and support workers. We also collaborate with third-sector workers who specialise in employment, housing, and social needs. To bridge the gap between patients and clinicians, we have also introduced Peer Support Workers who bring the invaluable perspective of lived experience.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be part of a close-knit team working together to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

We are looking for someone who works well in a team, but also has the ability to work independently using their own initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of mental health and the impact this can have on a person’s wellbeing.

You will need to be organized, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as good lT skills, are essential. Ideally, you will have experience working in adult mental health services and understand the challenges that working with this client group brings. However, if you have transferrable skills and are motivated to learn about our client group we would encourage you to apply.

We can offer you regular supervision and Personal Development Reviews and ongoing professional development through training (including the possibility of applying for AMHP training or NMP courses). You will have the opportunity to mentor students. There is excellent team-working, supportive colleagues and a friendly working environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your work will be guided by a skilled leadership team consisting of professionals from various fields. They will provide support and facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists, ensuring your development remains at the forefront. Regular supervision will be offered, and you will be encouraged to undertake relevant training to further enhance your professional growth

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, including time management and prioritisation of the needs of their caseload. In addition, they will work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, assess, plan and implement client-specific care.
