We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Band 7 psychological therapist (Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist/Psychotherapist) with an interest in perinatal mental health to join our Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS). MMHS sits alongside the Community Perinatal Mental Health Team and Reconnect service. This rewarding role allows you to utilise your skills to make a real difference to women suffering from moderate to severe mental health issues arising from their maternity experience.

If not already, you will be willing to work towards accreditation with an accrediting body such as BABCP, for which you will be fully supported.

As a member of our Maternal Mental Health Service, you will work closely with colleagues across the perinatal and wider mental health pathways.

To provide a specialist psychological service to clients, families and carers served by the Buckinghamshire Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS).
Providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy to women/birthing persons who have experienced perinatal loss, trauma, pregnancy specific anxiety and fear of childbirth.
Offering advice, consultation and supervision on clients’ psychological care to non-psychological colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.
To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service
