Our client is looking foran up and coming General Manager / Head of Business to lead andinspire their large team across their flagship User Car Dealershipbased in the Leeds area. The company has a car for every type ofperson so a car can be sold to the whole of market. This is a greatopportunity to join this environment working with the bestcolleagues and being able to offer every brand, make andmodel.

As a Head of Business / General Manager,you will lead, motivate, manage and drive your team to providecustomer service excellence, whilst delivering against thecompany's key performance indicators. You will take responsibilityfor the presentation of the Retail Centre and build and maintainstrong relationships with your team. You will work closely withother departments, be hands-on with the day-to-day running of thecentre, and achieve the highest results possible.

Alongside your customer-centric attitude, youwill be commercially minded, passionate about the car industry, andmotivated by setting, achieving and exceedingtargets.

This role would suit a driven GeneralSales Manager who is looking for a stepup.

RoleRequirements

To be successful inthis role, you will have:

  • A proventrack record in sales (within the AutomotiveIndustry)
  • A strong used car background -ideally from a used car supermarket
  • The abilityto lead by example, manage and inspire the team to deliver anIncredible performance.
  • Strong customerfocus
  • Great computerliteracy
  • Strong communication and negotiationskills
  • Self-motivation
  • Experienceof working with Aftersales / Service departments would be an addedadvantage but isn't essential.

YourResponsibilities

  • Leading andmotivating a large but cohesive team - 30 + salesexecutives.
  • To unleash the potential of thesales team by setting stretching objectives and providing regularfeedback on performance against theseobjectives
  • To resource the sales teamappropriately on a day-to-day and longer-termbasis.
  • Ensure that compliance is enforced andthat it meets all the obligations relating to the customerexperience
  • Be receptive to new ways of doingthings and actively encourage the sales team to try out newideas
  • Inspire the sales team to deliver anIncredible Customer Experience for every customer that the salesteam comes into contact with.
  • Manage theday-to-day sales activities such as deal files, handovers, salesfunnel to maximise sales revenue.
  • Supervise andorganise the aftersales/service function on site - 2 sitetechnicians.

WorkingPattern

Your working pattern will cover a mixtureof weekends and weekdays, mainly long days of 4 or 5 days per week,rota dependent. The dealership is open until 10pm so the shiftswill be long but highly profitable.

An extendedin-house training period will be required initially - this willmean travel to the other parts of the business to absorb thecompany culture and processes, accommodation, mileage etc. to beexpensed by the company.
