Job Title: Production Operative Day Shift

Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern

Salary/Pay Rate: £12.78 P/H (Base rate £11.62p/h+ Day Allowance £1.16)

Location: Brighter Foods, Pendre Industrial Estate, Tywyn LL36 9LW

Brighter Foods is an award-winning food manufacturer located in Tywyn, nestled between the scenic Snowdonia Mountain range and the beautiful beaches of mid Wales. Since our inception in 2014, we have brought experience, resources, and talent to the thriving sector of food manufacturing, catering to millions of consumers seeking the finest ingredients, superb taste, and texture in a healthy snack bar.

Description of role

Reporting to the Team Leader this role will encompass all aspects of Production Operations from weighing up ingredients for processing to palleting finished product and all operations in between. Completing tasks to maximum efficiency whilst maintaining low levels of waste, maximising outputs, working safely and ensuring high quality standards. Adopting a ‘clean as you go’ policy at all times and adhere to the BRC standard. 

Main Responsibilities

Complete all tasks in the correct & most efficient mannerAlways seek to minimise waste & maximise outputs whilst achieving the best quality possibleComply with company ‘clean as you go’ policyWork within industry Health & Safety StandardsComply with all food safety requirements and company food safety policies and practicesProvide suggestions on ways of improving efficiency and reducing wasteComplete all production paperwork fully and correctly as requiredWork effectively as part of a team whilst maintaining the capability to function individuallyCarry out any reasonable requestRespect and value other members of staff to create a positive working environment

Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience in a FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) environment would be beneficial but not essentialGood levels of literacy & numeracy will be required for completion of process paperworkFood Safety Level 2 qualification (Desirable)Health and Safety Level 2 qualification (Desirable)
