Job Overview

Our client, a successful FMCG business with ambitious growth plans, is seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day activities across production units in Tywyn, Wales. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure optimum production performance, efficiency, quality, and safety.

Salary: £50,000 + Relocation package

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a background in fast-moving manufacturing operations, preferably within the food industry. They must possess leadership skills, with a proven track record of team management, and be able to motivate team members to deliver exceptional performance. Strong planning and communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct risk assessments where necessary and maintain standards of quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping within designated areas.

2. Develop individuals within their teams to enable progression, resource growth, or replacement of current roles, ensuring the necessary skills are in place at all levels across the business units.

3. Manage attendance, disciplinary, and performance issues through direct reports, providing support, guidance, and development as required.

4. Ensure delivery of agreed KPIs within designated areas by delegating actions to the team, implementing systems to collect relevant data, and driving sustainable improvements.

5. Consistently achieve or exceed agreed performance targets for designated areas.
