Business Support Officer within Concessionary Travel Team

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Process new and renewal applications for Blue Badges, Disabled Persons’ Freedom Passes and Taxi Cards in line with Service Level Agreements
  • Cancel badges and passes when eligibility ends
  • Act on Tell Us Once notifications
  • Keep and maintain accurate records using spreadsheets, the Blue Badge database and London Councils’ systems
  • Interrogate various systems for applications and evidence, and progress
  • Annotate systems with outcomes of interrogation/applications
  • Liaise with both Liberata and LB Bromley service lines
  • Confidently communicate findings
  • Produce statistics from databases/spreadsheets
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures applicable to this role
  • This includes but is not limited to HR, Health & Safety, GDPR, Information Governance, Business Continuity, Marketing & Branding, Environmental Policy
  • and all relevant statutory requirements

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding of disabled persons concessionary travel schemes
  • Good oral and written communication at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and MS Outlook
  • Ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to work as a team and individually
