Equal Education Partners is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistants to work in various locations across West Wales. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to support children with additional learning needs in both mainstream and specialist school settings.

Job Description:

  • Provide support to the class teacher in delivering individualized learning plans for students
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning and provide additional support
  • Modify lessons and materials as necessary to meet the individual needs of students
  • Monitor and track student progress
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to support student development

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or supportive role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of different students and learning environments
  • Understanding of inclusive education and the importance of differentiation
  • Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are preferred
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

Requirements

Prior experience working with children, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to different learning environments, understanding of inclusive education, preferred qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
