Level 3 Learning Support Assistant

New Directions Education are currently looking for a Level 3 Learning Support Assistant to work in primary schools in the Swansea area.
You will be required to work with groups of pupils across Key Stages, supporting within the classroom with day to day activities helping the class teacher. We have full time and part time positions available, working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
For this role you will need to:
- Have a relevant, child related qualification OR relevant experience.
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Hold a current DBS certificate on the update service OR be prepared to apply for a new certificate.

- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

- BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant you'll be expected to:
- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
- Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
